Susan's Phone Pouch

Here is the finished pouch for Susan. Made from a beautiful cotton batik in green and
burgundy. Isn't the silkie cute?

Using Sassa Lynne
threads I created the
vine. The roses are
made using silk ribbon,
hand dyed by Candi at
Candi's Eye Candi.

The heart is red silk
thread.

Again using Sassa Lynne
thread I finished it off with
a buttonhole stitch, and
beads of course.

The back matches
the front fabric, as
does the handle.

Isn't this a beautiful
fabric?

Here is the inside with a little pocket for a bit of
organization.

I am very pleased with the result, I hope you will like it Susan.

An Award

My dear friend Candi has given me this lovely award.
I have been very slow in passing it along.

Thank you so much for honoring me, Candi.

Here are the guidelines for this award:'This blog invests and believes in the PROXIMITY - nearness in space, time and relationships. These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers' aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes for self-aggrandizement! Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers!'These are some very wonderful gals to visit. They are thoughtful, friendly and have so many wonderful ideas. I am supposed to pass this along to 5 people and here they are:).

A New Year -A New Look

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE! I thought after 2 years it was time for a new look. Is it to much? Let me know what you think.

This is the stocking I am doing for my daughter, Samantha. I will share close ups of different parts of the stocking in the coming days. The colors for this stocking are meant to depict Tuscany.

First is the beautiful silkie. The pearl cotton used to make the wagon wheels and to frame the silkie Wildflowers 008 Nefertiti, also around the silkie are garnet beads. On the left is a pretty brown flower lace added by one of the gals in my RR group, I sent the stocking around to get their help and talents for my daughter (who by the way just love it). Below is a pretty ribbon I got from one of my Treasurey Club packets from Evening Star Design. Alot of the fabrics for the stocking and the silkie came from there as well.

I could not resist showing Samantha the stocking when she was here for Christmas, and even got her to do some work on it. This is her first needle work, the heart is all hers. She did a great job.
The seams to the right and left were creations from the RR gals.

Full front.

Full back.

I would like to invite you to visit my Wyoming blog, there you can see the addition we are working on and things about the house. I want to begin a new segment on Rustic cabin decorating over there here is the link.....http://newlifewy.blogspot.com/

The new year already looks like a busy one, right now we are taking a little break from the frantic schedule we kept before Christmas. I hope you will stop by from time to time and see what we are up to.

May you have a happy and blessed new year.
