Time for a Quilt Retreat

Retreat time

Spending time in the mountains

and sewing for hours upon hours upon hours.

3 days of sewing, chatting, eating and more sewing

it only took 4 years, but it is done.  Next it will be longarm time, 

but after the others are done, as this one will take extra

time to do.

Very productive weekend to say the least.

More updates to come on each as they get quilted and 

all final details are completed.

Fussy cut blocks for the Pooh quilt.

 What is fussy cut?  Cutting holes in yardage of fabric to get

a special element.

 Fussy cutting leaves fabric with many holes in it.

 3 of the 4 colors that will be going with the fussy cut Pooh blocks.

And two elements that will be included in the Eagle Camo quilt.

Robe

One of my grand children made a special request

How could Nana say anything but yes.  

So he asked for a black fleece robe

he also has asked for his name on it but that will

wait until he visits so we can do that together

at the embroidery machine.

Finished it today.

It is very snugly.

 Some detail.

Have had 3 more requests for robes

Looks like a robe type of year

shaping up.

 It turned out really well.

Will have to share it again once we 

monogram it.   

With Tristan wearing it.
