Red, White & Blue Update
Working on the blocks for the RW&B quilt
The blue and white blocks are finished
14 of them, ready for sashing.
Now for the red and white group
this is how they will look.
For me it works to "stage" my work
this helps me hopefully not make a mistake in construction.
Each block contains 9 - 4.5 in blocks
It is important to make sure the star points are
going the right way, so staging helps with that.
I begin with the upper two right blocks in the first row.
keeping them in the correct orientation, I move
them closer to the machine
placing them right sides together and then pin them together
with the pin on the edge that is to be sewn
it is so easy to sew the wrong edge...I have done it to many times
so I pin.
with all 16 pinned, I can now chain piece the pieces
after sewing, I will place them back in their place as
they should be, and add the end piece.
Then move to the second row.
Once all the rows are constructed, I will join the rows.
Progress is being made.
Seems things keep stopping me from working
hopefully that is all over with and I can get this
quilt together.
Until later....God's Blessings

Hi! I am so excited to have found your blog. I am a beginner to quilting and to machine embroidery. I just purchased my embroidery machine a few months ago. I love combining these two, and creating one of a kind quilts. I do hope that you will accept my invitation to visit and I hope that you will decide to follow me back. I so enjoy making new creative friends.
Your newest blogging sister,
Connie :)
