Rag Quilt

Rag Quilt and T's Bed

A grandma must share the creative work of her grand children.

First up is Tristan's handy work.
He is 14 and loves to build things
and cook.
He is also a hunter and takes
care of every aspect of the hunt.

The kids (son-in-law and daughter) have
been making pallet items.  So
T decided to make some things,
a book case
and his new bed
(head board is out of pallets)

It was a long wait, but fun opening the box with the quilt
he requested.
This is the base of his bed, and he made it.  Dad
helped with the last phase, which was spraying the finish on.

The dresser to the right is another project, T sanded it
down and refinished it.
All together.  Talent seems to run in the family.
I have to show you next the table his big brother
designed and built.

These two love working with their hands
it is good to see these skills developing.
They had a hand in building their new house with
their mom and dad.

I am very impressed! That bed and headboard are top notch. Watch out that boy is going to be great husband material one day . . . but lets say at least ten years off :) Love the quilt, too. I have never made a rag quilt and I adore them. There is an added softness in that rag edge.
