Algerian Eye Stitch -- Week 6

Week 6 of the TAST - Take a Stitch Tuesday is the Algerian Eye Stitch also known as the Eyelet Stitch.

I really have struggled with this stitch, I keep wanting to pack the stitches close together. I am getting it now. You can see what I have been playing with. I love the flowers and the basket is made with 6 strands of DMC floss and the Detatched Chain stitch. I will continue to work with this and see what else I can come up with.

Hi Gail,
The basket is really beautiful. What an original idea!

Very creative and nice!

Looks good. I have the same problem with this stitch, too many stitches even on evenweave fabric and then there isn't enough room in the middle for all the 'legs'.

This is great. I love the experiments you did. Great ideas and I love the basket of flowers.

Very nice stitching.

Love the basket, too. All of your stitching is nicely done. Is that a little angel above the basket? I like the pink square with the stitch in the corners, too. You got very creative with this!
