Judy's Block detail 6

Some more details on Judy's block. When there is a flower print I like to accent some of the elements of that print. Here french knots are added to the center of this flower, done in gold rayon thread, 2 strands.

Next a straight stitch to accent the middle of these pansies, I will add some beads a bit later as well. This also done in the gold rayon. Did I show the motif before, well anyway, I put it over one of the printed flowers, just to give some dimension.

Here using the same gold rayon is another seam treatment. Along with the N shaped treatment in teal, in a fine Perle by Sassa Lynne in Moody Blues. These surrounding the J in orange silk ribbon, with seed beads.

Hi!

This block is very pretty...wish I could see the whole thing! (Thanks for the details, though....the idea of adding stitches to a pattern like you did on the flowers is great!) What fabrics to you generally use for CQ?

Thanks, Gail, for visiting my blog!
I found the unembellished block; you've certainly come a long way on it. Your jacket block is very nice as well.

We just got back from a short walk in the snow...it's pretty slippery out there.
